Security don tighten for Osun State ahead of the August 15 governorship election, as armed soldiers don take over security duties at the INEC headquarters for Osogbo.
The soldiers reportedly arrive on Sunday, while their numbers increase on Monday. About three Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) also dey around the INEC office as part of the security arrangement.
Before the military deployment, Mobile Police, Police and Civil Defence personnel dey handle security for the commission. According to a security source, other security agencies go continue to work alongside the soldiers as election day dey approach.

Meanwhile, INEC say dem don complete 12 out of the 13 activities on the official election timetable and remain fully ready for Saturday’s poll.
The commission say the only major activity remaining na the election itself, while sensitive electoral materials go dey distributed to the various local government areas on Thursday, ahead of Saturday’s voting.
With election day just around the corner, security preparations don enter top gear as Osun State gets set for another major governorship contest.
