APC governorship aspirant for Ogun State, Abayomi Hunye, don challenge the party over his suspension, asking how APC fit suspend am and still collect N50 million from am for nomination form.
Hunye, wey speak on Channels TV, say APC claimed say dem suspend am since April 7, but the party still collect money from am on April 28 and give am both the nomination and expression of interest forms.
He said he completed the necessary documentation, collected the forms and passed the party screening. According to am, his name even appear as number 52 on the screening list, and he was recognised as a valid candidate during the May 21 primary.

Hunye therefore questioned the basis of the party’s decision to suspend and disown am after allowing am to participate in the process.
APC, however, has rejected Hunye’s claim and reaffirmed Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as the party’s recognised governorship candidate for the 2027 Ogun election.
The matter has now raised fresh questions about the party’s internal process and how candidates are treated after paying for nomination forms and completing screening.
