Tinubu Don Travel Go UK For Historic State Visit After 37 Years

Bola Ahmed Tinubu don comot Abuja travel go United Kingdom for official state visit, becoming the first Nigerian leader in 37 years to make such trip.

The President waka comot from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 10:00am on Tuesday alongside the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.

For the visit, King Charles III and Queen Camilla go host the President and his wife for Windsor Castle from March 18 to 19.

According to statement from the presidency, the visit aim to strengthen relationship between Nigeria and UK, especially for areas like trade, investment, immigration and cultural exchange.

During the visit, the Royal Family go organise state banquet in honour of Tinubu, and both sides go also hold private discussions.

Tinubu go still meet with Keir Starmer for 10 Downing Street, where dem go discuss stronger partnership between both countries.

The meeting go lead to signing of several agreements, including trade and investment deals.

One major highlight na £746 million deal between UK Export Finance and Nigerian agencies to upgrade Lagos Port (Apapa) and Tin Can Island Port, to improve Nigeria maritime sector.

The President go also attend cultural events, including exhibition on Nigerian modern art, and meet with Nigerian diaspora and business leaders in the UK.

Top government officials wey follow Tinubu include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Attorney General Lateef Fagbemi, Finance Minister Wale Edun, and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu among others.

This visit mark a major diplomatic step as Nigeria and UK dey look for ways to deepen cooperation across different sectors.
