US Sanction Wahala: APC, NNPP Don Stand Gidigba For Kwankwaso As Religious Freedom Tension Dey Rise

Big political tension don show face as APC and NNPP reject proposed US visa ban and asset freeze wey target former Kano Gov, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, plus Miyetti Allah groups, over alleged religious freedom violations for Nigeria.

The proposed law, Nigeria Religious Freedom and Accountability Act 2026, wey some US lawmakers introduce, say dem fit sanction individuals and groups wey dem accuse say dem involve for religious persecution and violence.

APC talk say America no suppose punish anybody based on mere allegation, insist say fair hearing and due process must happen first. NNPP too call the move blackmail, say Kwankwaso no get link with religious extremism and dem accuse US lawmakers of selective judgment.

Meanwhile, US lawmakers claim say religious violence don kill thousands, destroy communities and force millions to run from their homes since 2009. Dem also raise concern over Sharia laws and blasphemy punishments for some northern states.

Miyetti Allah leaders reject the allegations sharply, insist say dem be legitimate association, not terrorist group, and call on Nigerian government make dem engage US diplomatically to clear misunderstanding.

If the bill pass, US go fit impose sanctions, label some militias as terrorist organisations and increase international pressure on Nigeria over religious violence issues.
